About the ATC

 Uniform

No 2 (Full) Service Working Dress (No 2 SD)
  • Beret
  • Male Cadets: No2 Trousers with 1" belt
  • Female Cadets: No2 Skirt or Slacks
  • Light blue shirt and black tie
  • Jersey (Called No 2A SD without the Jersey)
  • Brassard, rank slides & lanyard (if applicable)
  • Black socks or "Barely black" tights
  • Black shoes
  • Foul Weather Jacket (if required)
  • White belt and gloves (if issued)
During warm weather the jersey may be removed.



No 2C (Restricted Trade) Routine Working Dress

  • Beret
  • Male Cadets: No2 Trousers with 1" belt
  • Female Cadets: No2 Skirt or Slacks
  • Dark blue shirt
  • Jersey
  • Brassard, rank slides & lanyard (if applicable)
  • Black socks or "Barely black" tights
  • Black shoes
  • RAF stable belt
  • Foul Weather Jacket (if required)
  • OG Coveralls (if required)
During warm weather the jersey may be removed.
The stable belt is an optional item and must be purchased.



No 3 Service Dress / Combat Soldier 95 (CS 95) – Operational Clothing

  • Beret
  • DPM Trousers and Jacket
  • OG or DPM shirt
  • Appropriate warm layer (dark coloured fleece)
  • Rank slides (if applicable)
  • Black boots
Boots are to be clean
The stable belt is not to be worn with No 3 SD or CS 95.
The Union Jack Emblem may be worn if fitted to the jacket.
The Royal Air Force patch and Tactical Recognition Flash are to be removed.
